From the dawn the 3rd decade of the 21st century, the most innovative and  groundbreaking development in the wireless communication space is 5G. Lightning fast data speeds at non existent response latency has taken the world by storm and has come here to stay.


Short introduction on 5G


5G is the 5th iterative generation of Mobile networks. The current global wireless standard designed to connect everything to the internet(IOT). This novel technology can deliver extremely fast  internet at very low latency and a huge boost in bandwidth.

The super duper network is divided into 3 bands of frequencies is, 

1.Low Band 5G

2.Mid Band 5G

3.Millimeter Wave

5G speeds will range from ~50 Mbit/s to over 1,000 Mbit/s (1 Gbit/s). The fastest 5G speeds would be in the mmWave bands and can reach 4 Gbit/s with carrier aggregation and MIMO.

Sub-6 GHz 5G (mid-band 5G), by far the most common, will usually deliver between 100 and 1,400 Mbit/s. 

The range of 5G depends on many factors: transmit power, frequency, and interference.

The biggest strength of 5G is its Achilles heel, as the high frequency cannot propagate long distances.High Power usage, and Health issues (alleged) .


5G the grim reaper?


With current pandemic and western propaganda against chinese mobile manufacturers, several controversies related to 5G arose.Claims that the Chinese 5G towers spreading the pandemic. And the low wavelength radiation affecting the health of flora and fauna nearby. WHO has denied all claims on the adverse health risks and propagation of viruses.

 

Controversies

The first version claims that radiation weakens the immune system, making the body more vulnerable to SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19).

The second version claims that 5G causes COVID-19. There are different variations on this. Some claim that the pandemic is coverup of illness caused by 5G radiation or that COVID-19 originated in Wuhan because that city was "the guinea-pig city for 5G".
